Happy Birthday & Stuff

Hi,

Just a quick thanks to all those that sent me cards, wishing me a happy 21st, 36th,  37th,21st, 40th, 41st, 21st, well the exact age isn’t important, your as young as you feel, I currently feel a 103!

I have spent most of the last few days decorating with some of the girls from the Carers Team, it was a Hall of a job, then the family nephews and nieces team came in to mop up and also to take on the ground floor.

We now have a living room that is quite trendy for someone who is a 103!

As Keran couldn’t make it home for my birthday, some lame excuse about not being allowed out! She organised a fly past of a dozen or so Royal Navy Helicopters…I didn’t have the heart to tell her I was Air Force. Anyway someone later said it was actually for the Royal Navy’s (well the Fleet Air Arm) 100 year birthday.

Only a 100 years old, hah got a few years on them!

But well done to the Navy, they survived various cuts, some serious ones just after and before the Falklands. Shame that they now have no fighters after this Government saw fit to remove them. Who needs fighters to provide cover for the surface ships, when have they ever needed that before (answers on a flattop please).

Congrats to the scary Joanna Lumley to, if you had the choice of facing a crazed and starved pack of wolves armed with machine guns or Joanna Lumley, show me the wolves anytime. Nice cornering of the minister, no one would make a patsy out of you.

The London Marathon also finished today for a certain Redcap, who managed to complete the course despite having no legs. Well done, and good luck with the climb, but have a Kit Kat first, have a break you deserve it.

My main present hopefully turns up this week to, a bit later than the others, when Mrs H finally comes home, where she belongs, with her family.

We have new people involved in our life now, as we have probation services involved now, only the Ministry of Agriculture left…

We await to see when she is coming out and what conditions she and the family will have to cope with. As soon as we know if they affect any of you, and they will, we will let you know, as we will need your help to get through them.

I feel sorry for probation as I had hoped along with a lot of you that Keran would have been released and had her name cleared, but it sadly wasn’t to be, and then probation wouldn’t have to do what they do and try and sort out the mess.

As probation get involved we say farewell to those that looked after Keran whilst in prison, those in uniform and those out of uniform. To those who booked the boys and a lot you down for visits, to those that had the nurturing element towards Keran.

But from me personally to the ladies at the facilities Keran has had to put up with (I know you have had to put up with her…now you know how I feel - its okay she will never read this)! Who, even with enough on your own plate, gave advice or a kind word, that all helped to keep her pretty much intact thank you and if you believe in him, God Bless.

I will take over again now, I have had an 18 month break, so I should be fully recharged and refreshed. Just in time for our 17th anniversary, which is when you give ‘ a file’ to mark the event….damnit if it had only been earlier.

Take care and do remember there are others always worse off than you, hard to believe for some of you I know, but there are.

Iain
