Simon Cowell better watch out, the Gene Genie’s on to him.
Philip Glenister, who plays Ashes To Ashes’ tough-talking DCI Gene Hunt, has torn into Simon Cowell and his “malicious and cruel” reality shows.
In an interview with the Radio Times, he fumed: “What I loathe about The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent is this idea that they’re going to make someone a star.
“It’s just the Simon Cowell show. He runs the gig. Makes the money. End of.”
Philip also suggests Cowell’s judging sidekicks Cheryl Cole, Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden are talentless.
He said: “The audition process is malicious and cruel, watching self-delusional people in front of three supposed experts who are smirking.
“It’s bullying disguised as entertainment and they’re lying to themselves if they think otherwise.”
Right did you spot it sweetheart?
Well the line I love is the ”the audition process is malicious and cruel, watching self delusional people in front of three supposed experts who are smirking”.
Now I guess that make me self delusional (I did think that the Police, CPS etc all had to have evidence and they would do the right thing…mind you that’s more delusional about others and not me). But it was the ’smirking’ experts that got me. Boy did that ring true even at the Court of Appeal some of them sat there smirking, like naughty school boys (your way too old chaps, get over it).
But don’t worry Mr Hunt the experts I am talking about may not have their smirks for too much longer.
