Cradle snatching
Cradle snatching…but not as you have at first thought!
Social Services have taken a 6 month old child of someone today, now I don’t yet know all the details. But that’s strike 2 for them at the same house. Of course they have a difficult job to do, I am not sure I could do it. I’d rather be Gene Hunts caddy…or maybe not…
But I have a couple of grave concerns. One is that do they allow it to become personal? They shouldn’t of course, but we all stereotype etc. And if a person won’t give evidence and comply with their efforts, views…whatever’s. Then this is one way to get back at them, possibly even changing their views or evidence to go against a partner say…
The other is the back lash to the Baby P case as mentioned before things may have gone too far over the other way to compensate or rather over compensate. For cases like Peter’s.
I just hope they know what they are doing. I have spoke to a lot of people now that have been in this nightmare and still are trying to fight their way out of it. Fighting for their most precious gems.
Whilst sad news reaches us of another child who slipped through the net, and was failed…what can you say…
Time for a root and branch (go for the tips of the leaves) review into the whole shooting match, as the aim can be way off.
Say a prayer if your that way inclined to all those separated from their nearest and dearest. Whether in a Home or Helmund province.
